Design Technology

Our Vision

At Brandling Primary School, we aim to inspire pupils to be innovative and creative thinkers who appreciate Design and Technology. We encourage children to challenge themselves through drafting design concepts, modelling, testing and developing the skills to be able to evaluate effectively to ensure their progression of skills in the subject. As a school we follow the Kapow Primary scheme of work which supports the development of these skills in Design and Technology. Through the Kapow scheme, the children will build an awareness of how Design and Technology can impact our everyday lives and encourage children to be more resourceful, enterprising citizens who will have the skills to contribute to future design advancements. Kapow Primary’s Design and Technology scheme, enables children to meet the end of year key stage attainment targets set out in the National Curriculum.
